You can spot a scammer easily because they’ll be quick to wave complicated papers and documents in your face, coupled with a sense of urgency, so you sign quickly without reading thoroughly. You should never have to pay a roofing contractor more than what is a reasonable deposit, meaning no more than 10%-20% of the total cost for the job.
